Default RS side script replacement? Install question?

Where can one purchase the 997.1RS factory side script?

When installing it, does it go under the rear hip protector or on over it?

I have an extra set of scripts that I can sell to you if you’re interested. They’re not from Porsche, but are identical to OEM. as far as install, use these photos with dimensions for exact placement. These are Porsche installed.

Under the hip PPF.

I noticed they have a slight crease so I don’t feel right selling them. I bought them from here.

At first the decal was awesome. Then after a few years as an update it was cool to delete it.
Now, the model is classic and wants the decal again.

My understanding has been that the .1RS did not come with any protection if decals were installed. But if decals were not installed, then you got protection. So in your case, the proper way for a .1RS to be if it had decals would be to have no film. Some more details below:

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...clear-bra.html

You can also see the lack of PPF on this car, pic 70: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...911-gt3-rs-20/

I'll have to do research on the .2RS and see what I can find. But I do believe the .2RS came with factory protection, just not sure if above or below.

Boxster is correct, my .1 RS came with no protection either. I placed PPF over the script and it's doing just fine but my car is not subject to the elements as much as other cars might be.

I do think that PPF installers would prefer to install graphics over the PPF.

My installer prefers graphics under the film. He’s able to replace the film without disturbing them. I suspect that process gets harder as the film ages.

He was able to replace my front bumper film due to rock damage without harming the graphics underneath, but the film was only about 2 years old at that point.
