My understanding has been that the .1RS did not come with any protection if decals were installed. But if decals were not installed, then you got protection. So in your case, the proper way for a .1RS to be if it had decals would be to have no film. Some more details below:

I'll have to do research on the .2RS and see what I can find. But I do believe the .2RS came with factory protection, just not sure if above or below.
Boxster is correct, my .1 RS came with no protection either. I placed PPF over the script and it's doing just fine but my car is not subject to the elements as much as other cars might be.
I do think that PPF installers would prefer to install graphics over the PPF.
My installer prefers graphics under the film. He’s able to replace the film without disturbing them. I suspect that process gets harder as the film ages.
He was able to replace my front bumper film due to rock damage without harming the graphics underneath, but the film was only about 2 years old at that point.
