I'm very excited to say I have a 997.2 GT3RS 3.8 being delivered very soon. I one I found has no stickers at all, but the accents are red like many of the grey black cars. While I don't dislike the red accents, I really love the grey black cars I have seen with the white gold accents. Has anyone gone about changing the colors of these accent pieces on their car? I didn't know if wrapping the old parts, painting the old parts, or ordering and painting new parts is the best option.
Also the wheels are currently silver, so I would paint those white gold as well if I go this route. Love to hear anyone else's experiences. Thanks.

My thoughts on Paint vs Wrap are below. But it's about what will work for your use case.
- Paint
- + More Durable
- + More Color Options
- - More Expensive
- - Hard to reverse
- - Affects resale
- - Harder to execute
- Wrap
- +Less Expensive
- + Easily reversible
- + Little to no affect on resale value
- + Easier to execute
- - Limited color options
- - Less Durability

Thank you for the detail! What you described makes perfect sense depending on what is the use case. I'm leaning towards the paint option. Car arrives tomorrow

I did a color change on my car as well. You can buy RS4.0 wingtips from Getty and have them painted. I did all the expensive work to get the molds done right. Mirrors can be sourced from junk yards or you can buy oem mirror caps and have them painted. The lipstick is the hard part. You need to decide paint or wraps. I can tell you that a wrap will never look great in that area.
Good luck. Btw, grey-black with black accents looks really good too.

I also just acquired a grey black / red .2 RS and would like to change the accent colors. How do you change the lipstick? Is that piece removable or does the entire bumper need to be repainted? White gold seems like a great option.

I did this on my 2011 GT3 RS. When purchased it was a White/Red car. I've changed it to White/Blue. I went paint for my use cases with the car(tracking, driving). But very happy with the change. I'd say go for it.

No all you need to do is to get rid of the Ronald McDonald colors. Those yellow calipers and red seat belts are clashing like no tomorrow. I still love your car though.
Take my opinion with a grain of salt. I would change the seat plastic from white to black, then install either black or blue seatbelts and paint the calipers black.
