Eric, can you explain the difference between the RE Motorsport and the F1?
Also can ya pm me on e88's for 997.1 RS. We had a conversation about 6 or so months ago. Pretty much ready to pull the trigger on a new set of wheels
Both are out of the BBS Motorsport program from Germany.
The FI is a split Y 5 spoke and the Re-MTSP is a mesh design. The FI is crazy light and comes in lighter than the Re-MTSP Track Day wheel.
The FI wheel was was discontinued but we begged and pleaded and they made them for us again. Waited 16 months to get the 5 sets. Down to the last set now.
OEMs or your Forgelines both look great, IMO. When you put the OEMs back on it will make the car feel new again. At least that's what my experience was after going back to OEM. However, I've since put a set of Forgelines on. It's easy going back and forth so why not? OEMs are super clean looking
I like your Forgelines but nothing wrong with stock either!
I ordered a set of Forgeline GS1R Open Lug in Gloss Gunmetal. One of the rears had a flaw in the clear, so just waiting to get it back so I can mount them. Here's a mockup...
Considering selling the Forgeline wheels off of my GT2, and putting OEM wheels back on.
Forgelines were on the car when bought it, and have OEMs.
Thoughts?
And yes, I did replace the yellowing stone guards in front of the rear wheel.
I think if you refinish the wheels so that they contrast the car's color then it will really give the look of them new life. And also, pop in some Porsche center caps as another member mentioned. Perhaps a Brushed Silver like what we did on these HRE's a few years back.

Thank you all for the reply and pictures.
Beautiful cars.
You guys are making it tough on me.. all great wheel choices.
@f50nut - the pics of your BBS’ are fantastic. Normally I see them without center caps so seeing them with center caps gives it a completely different look. Definitely will give some more consideration to those wheels in the future (this year). If so, will let Eric at Supreme know.
There are very few aftermarket wheels that I like on the 997, that actually look better than stock. Frankly, I REALLY like those!! Someone mentioned that they are too "modern", the design might be a little similar to the 991 or 992 GT3 wheels, but frankly, the 997 has such a classic and modern look at the same time, that I disagree with this notion. I think it modernizes the look a bit without looking gimmicky!!!
To my eyes the OEM is the better looking wheel. Agree the BBS style above look amazing too. IMHO a car the like the GT2 is somewhat defined by how it was delivered when compared to the standard turbo. This includes the bumpers, aero, and wheels. In any case that's an amazing car. Would love to add one in the future.
