Few thoughts come to mind here when making this decision. I don’t think the $ / HP proportion will ever be worth it in a 911 in any track situation. Lol. Reason being is we all know someone can buy a $5k Civic hatchback and invest the $20k into it and have more hp and run similar lap times, or swap an LS into my 944. For me my justification for the upgrade was due to the following reasons: I considered purchasing a 991.1 GT3rs. I had one for a day from a dealer and driving around town was actually pretty boring because it didn’t have the 3rd pedal and the way that it was geared, it’s difficult to enjoy driving around town. I drove one on the track it was fast but that was the only time I can really enjoy it. I bought the 997 because I wanted something I can enjoy on the track and drive around town with. With the new upgrades, I can now keep up with 991’s on the track while enjoying the 3rd pedal. No need to point by every 991 GT3 on the front straight because of the lack of hp. Last justification was, if I wanted to I can always take the parts off and sell to a fellow RL’er, who doesn’t like used Dundon parts for a discount? So I would take the price I paid minus the price sold for used and that’s how much I paid to play.

The tune plus pipes will allow for some gains but the real power is balancing the intake side of engine as well. Idk if you’ve seen Dundon’s video explaining some of the science behind it but after viewing it, it was worth the try for me.

Oh and the sound, it’s sounds so good!!! Hope this helps!

Great stuff! Thank you for sharing. I have to admit, this thread has sparked my interest. One thing I haven't been able to find is a good picture of how the mini-crack tips fit relative to the bumper. I realize this stuff is about function, but I do care about form as well. Would you mind sharing a picture of the exhaust tips with the bumper in place? Thanks and please enjoy that beast often!

Did you do a pre and post install dyno run under the same atmospheric conditions on the same exact dyno? That would be great data...

Unfortunately I do not, I had Spec German do the whole install and we installed an rs4.0 clutch/flywheel at the same time so it required a few hundred miles for break in before I could go full send. Dundon is a good 60 minutes away from me and haven’t had a chance to make it down to put it on their dyno yet.

How much louder is the header/mini crack pipe combo valves closed vs stock, valves open? I have a Sharkwerks center bypass but thinking of adding the street headers to it.
