With a 500rpm buffer between redline and registering range 1 over revs on a 7GT3, if you keep racking up range 1s, all that proves is that you are incompetent at properly shifting the car.....

Yup. And from day one many or even most owners were driving these on the street, just like today's 991 GT3 RS owners. And these are much rarer, so I would be more likely to throw caution to the wind with a more common, less valuable car.

I don't think I would chance tracking a 1973 RS either. But point is, there are many ways to love cars, including GT3s.

I drove one of these at Mosport years ago (student's car), it was incredible, and I couldn't stop thinking about it for days.

My white .1 had 40k miles and zero overrevs. My orange .1 has three in range 3. They drive the same. We will see how oil holds up and the analysis but I think everyone gets hung up on the overrevs. I thought to myself, if I have an issue with the motor, I'll rebuild it. I mean that's what this motor is good at. The ability to be rebuilt over and over.

Hi Dan, I take back my reply also. Didn't meant to start a sidebar debate.

Zero over revs here in any range and plenty of enjoyment.

Time your shifting properly.

No big deal at all. We get the underlying message and that's love for Porsche. What is demonstrated to me is I've owned a lot of different cars and the Porsche fanboys and girls are different than any other marque. It's not even close

Best of luck with the sale. Curious to see how the RS does on C&B.
