Default Fan after driving

Anyone else's car run the fan for a really long time, after driving? I slowly creep home the last 3-5 miles to cool the car and park it the garage and then the fan runs on and off for 20 minutes. Seems excessive.

All temps and pressures are perfect on the dash, at all times, so I'm curious as to why it has to run the fan so long after.

Mine does it too on hot days in a hot garage for 10-20 mins. Normal. Our Boxster used to do it. My friends Cayman does it.

It’s weird, I never hear it on my GT3. On my Turbo I hear it often.

Yeah, I get the fan if I close the garage right after driving. If I keep garage open, I usually won't come on unless it's just too hot outside. Haven't driven in really hot heat yet 100+. Keep in mind I live Texas.

I forgot youre in Texas too!!!

Hah, yup, good Ole Texas. Today was 73 and breezy, but still tons of fan. I guess it is what it is and I won't worry.

It's normal even in CA, sometimes the fan turns on the 2nd time.

If the fan doesn't run for 30 mins after you parked it, you weren't driving it right! All of my GT's have done this.

Don't worry John, it's being driven hard. Brakes are totally worn and being replaced next week and I've done 3 years worth of mileage in 6 months
