Agreed 100%
Agree with both of you, JM is like a Schmee on TRT
Love the car, just not the video. I tuned out this guy when he started selling sunglasses. Thought I'd give it another go when I heard he bought a 4.0. The footage of the car and audio were pretty underwhelming. He seemed to lack much enthusiasm as he waxes so eloquently about all things that have been said about the 4.0 for the last ten years. I was hoping he could capture the 'magic' this car beholds but was left hearing about how pretty much ANY manual transmission car is more engaging than a dual clutch...you don't say?? lol. The only bit of original content he had to offer was the car is a combination of 'micro crescendos'. Mind blowing..
What a wasted opportunity when you have one of the best cars on the planet on some of the greatest roads in Europe.

^ I kept my mouth shut
but looks like I was not alone
it was a bit long
my review. if you got the $ just buy it, you will thank me profusely later.
I had my since new 2011. I have NEVER kept a car this long. some car I buy and sell in less than 24 hours... famous cars... like 993TTS, and some fiats.
this car cannot be described or reviewed. you either "get it" or you don't.
but It was entertaining while I made latte.

Like anyone some of JWWs reviews are good some not as good. Over all I do enjoy his reviews and he has honed his driving skills considerably. The 4.0 review was not his best though. I agree.
As to Schmee, thanks to Mooty I now have a new perspective as to how to approach a Schmee review if I ever watch one again. Always wondered how an overweight guy with a lisp and no driving talent could amass such a following reviewing cars.
At least with Hunter Biden’s finger paintings I could see the corrupt reason a no talent could command such demand and big $ for one.

I'll bet he's watched the video more times than all of us put together.

I really don’t go to “influencers” for car reviews although Mr JWW does reviews better than most other influencers.
I know this doesn’t have to do with Mr JWW or his review, but I actually did see a interesting new issue of EVO and they had an interesting segment called the perfect 10. What they did was 10 EVO journalist’s came up with the 10 best cars they had ever driven. Surprisingly or I guess unsurprisingly, half of the journalists had some variation of 997 GT3/RS as their #1. Two others had a 981 GT4 and a 918 Spyder as their number one.
In the final group tally for the 10 best, only one 997 GT3/RS made it on the final list which was surprisingly the 997.2 GT3 RS 3.8 (which finished third overall) and not the 4.0. Ferrari 458 Speciale finished first overall with BMW E30 M3 second. Very interesting article and I thought you guys here might like it. Unfortunately the issue is not free.

IMHO, Mr. JWW = J. Peterman. JWW's "Urban Sunglasses" are already out..."Urban Sombrero" and catalog are sure to follow.

Would have been this year, but Covid has delayed it to next year. I love these type of cars, total sleepers that can be driven in winter conditions.

Hopefully the delivery times on these will not be as long as GR Yaris when they launch ? My Yaris is taking longer than any of my Porsche cars in the past……
