Default engine rebuild

Who are the "preferred shops" for doing an engine rebuild on a 3.6 or 3.8 GT3 motor these days? Bonus points if you've had it done and had a good experience.

Autometrics in Charleston, SC did my 4.2 build. It’s a little past two years and the motor’s running strong, smooth and reliable.

Since you're in NJ, i'd recommend, Autometrics, Dawe's, Dan Jacobs in no particular order. All very familiar with the GT3 and can handle the rebuild.

Curious what the rebuild cost would be. I’ve been told different numbers

Great recommendations and I have had experience with 2 of these shops, Autometrics and Dawe's. Both build great motors that make reliable power in these motors. Autometrics did the 4.0L install in Leh Keen's 997.1 Frog and its running strong after 5+ years

For this in Europe Albertmotorsport seems like an excellent choice. I wonder what shipping costs, their labor and German Mark exchange rates would be, but shipping an engine to Germany is probably cost prohibitive.
They do however offer ready to go rebuilt Cup engines-
There's also a description of a complete rebuild-

Shark werks. Auto metrics. 3.6 to 3.9 or 3.8 to 4.1 or .2.
both have great reps.
There are some price references on here if you dig around.
if or when I’m thinking it’s 50k.
