Talking My 997.1 GT2 and 997.2 GT3 RS together

You might not think this would be hard for me to arrange, but I very rarely have my two personal Porsches completely side by side. Yesterday I was kicking off the grand opening to my new specialty car dealership and I took the time to bring both of them to the shop so that everyone could see them side by side in the back of my showroom. Being the proud papa that I am, of course I had to take a few photos myself! If anyone else could appreciate this pairing of my high mileage beauties sitting alongside one another, it's my friends in this sub-forum on RennList!

Very cool Steve. Thanks for sharing.

Also, I see a style 65 wheel on an E39 M5. Looks like you got some good inventory already.

Looks great Steve!

Are the wheels on the GT2 factory painted that way?

Thanks Chris, I inherited the car as you see it and can only assume that they were painted prior to my ownership. I have no reason to believe that the car left the factory looking like that so the assumption is that a previous owner did it. They do look good, and of course are the only 'normal' I know for my particular GT2.

I prefer to use the word 'emotional' when I describe the differences between the two cars as the 997.1 GT2 is still plenty raw, but lacks the extent of emotion that the 3RS offers. But I feel that the 3RS offers more immediacy and playfulness, not to mention the extraordinary sound that a high compression Mezger engine makes. The GT2 is even more serious about delivering performance, but does so in a colder and business-like type of way. They are both so different yet both demand respect and offer some of the greatest driving experiences I've ever felt.

I have to admit it's nice having them both at the 'office' with me too.
