Search eBay for a "BMW Seat Wiring Harness" you will find a number of them for $30-$40 that have the right "donor" thicker gauge red & brown seat heater power wires, and more importantly the seat connector pins. I tried to buy the pins from Mouser but was told that they are a proprietary BMW component.

The red wire goes in pin 8 and brown in pin 13 on the seat connector, then wire in your commodity seat heating elements to the donor red/brown power wires.

Thank you for this! My 987 Spyder came w heated sport seats. I replaced them w the OEM buckets and always wanted to get heat in them, especially considering the car is wired already. I just didn’t know what pins in the harness to connect.

Got an aftermarket heating pads after I saw your post and installed them in the seats and now I’m a happy (and warm) guy.

I can only say nice things about Classic9 Leather.
Not a paid endorsement - just a happy customer.
Really completes the extended deviated stitch on my car....

Seats look great. Is the lever in front to slide fore and aft always so prominent or is it more concealed / retracted once installed?

ugh sorry meant to reply to @ljmartyre image of the gt2 seats from Carnewal

Barely noticeable once the seats are installed.
