True. Decent show. But poor Porsche Service Center.

Ao no interest in a cruise. Shucks, looks like a solo trip.

I’d any of you guys hear about Canepa opening the shop again, let me know. I’ll post on over at the top. They did for Porsche only during RR. If you haven’t gone, it’s a fun time if they open the entire shop. I met a few here and from the 991rs forum.

Werks changed venues to what has been in the past as the stomping grounds for Ferrari. Old Bayonet Course. Make for a foggy day instead of sunny out past Laguna. Friday the 13th.

After a few years of hour long traffic to get across town or worse to track I stopped driving sports cars up for car week.

I now ride or trailer up a motorcycle and enjoy the lane splitting and attending every event without sitting in traffic and searching for parking.

UP Date

They did cancel the Flag Room this year and offered Pit Row Suites instead. Sad as Flag Room has a much better track view.

All in all just excited were back!

Honestly, I’ll be surprised if this Carweek bests any of the last 4yrs. I know there are pent-up desires to attend, but this past weekends Moto race leads me to believe the numbers won’t be there….Fine for me either way, just something I’m surprised. It will all equal out as services and such are at a lower scale now, so I think we’ll see lines everywhere.

Flag room is nice.

I am seeing Reliable and Intercity showing up now. About the same timing as before for those that want some time to themselves in the area before it all starts.

Funny story: First year doing Carweek, I was just coming back from Werks when it was at Rancho. Wanted to go back home up the hill (1 at Carmel by the Sea) and I was about 1/5 way up and ended doing a u-turn at one of the driveways. Ended up making a 5pt turn right in front of Magnus and his GT3 build he had. I honestly think he was contemplating the same thing.
