What car after 997.2 RS

You're never going to figure this guy out because every single thread is about flexing and speculation. This subform is beginning to become something I want no part of. I just want to build my car and drive it. Maintain it and drive it. Modify it and drive it. I want to be able to reach out and ask intelligent technical GT3 related questions and get intelligent answers. What I don't want is to watch my fellow members flexing and one upping each other. I see a member verbally attacking another member with name calling which has no place here. I mean who resorts to that type of behavior.
Whatever the case is, we need something like Tom's build thread to get us back on track. Hurry up Tom and get another project. Save us from ourselves. LOL
Now back to GT3's. I did my first mod the other day. Half way done so the difference can be compared. I changed out my tails to all red. Hope you enjoy the pic.

I can't decide if I like all red vs red/clear on the orange. Always fun to try stuff out.

I had a 600LT after, it is the perfect upgrade from the 997 RS. The rawest modern car you can get with the least nannies. 458 S and Performante are very different cars, the LT and RS cars are more similar in terms of drive and performance.

I’ll just let your posts speak for themselves.

I am in this boat now after selling my heavily modified GT3 1.5 years ago, trying to decide what is next. I loved that car but I do not see myself buying another 997 as I have been there and done that, and was always trying to make the car better and better. At the end of the day, everyone will have their opinions, but what is most important is how you feel every time you look at and drive the car, regardless if anyone else thinks the same. Buy the car for you, not for the cars and coffee or social media crowds.

I don't you think your are going to find a "better"track oriented street car than 997rs. The only reason I no longer have mine was similar to the post above: I've just been there and done that enough that I'm on to other stuff. But never did I sell one because I wanted something "better". My tastes just changed and I had enough seat time in them to have fully scratched the itch.
Maybe 10yrs from now I'll have cycled back to wanting a track oriented analogue manual and if so 997rs would be my top choice.
If you are open to 2 pedals but still want a more old school analogue feel I highly recommend Scud. It's every bit as raw/analogue as 997rs. Speciale is more 991-like. Scud isnt as precise, have as much finesse or have 3 pedals. But it has amazing Dr Jeckyll Mr Hyde split driving characteristics and more Hyde than Jeckyll for sure. It's a true brute of a wild animal and not in the stratosphere price range some of the other options you mention

Or you could keep the RS and go backwards. Just picked up an NB Miata and currently outfitting with seats, harnesses, and new bushings to have it track ready. I find that driving this slow go kart around is 1) a blast without felony speeding and 2) makes me really appreciate my trips in the RS.

What car after the 997?
I recently got in contact with a previous owner of my 997 GT2. He told me about all the other very impressive cars he bought and sold in the years since, how the GT2 remains his favorite, and how he wishes he had it back.
Learn from other’s mistakes.

Ive had honda s2k. It was such a fun little car. I do miss it. Driving it with top down on a sunny day with my shades on... miss those days.

Personally I like all kinds of cars, they can be slow, fast, auto, manual, have a roof, no roof, hydraulic steering or EPS, NA, FI (...) so many cool and fun cars out there but IMHO nothing that can replace the unique experience and feel of the 997 GT3! You can only add to the GT3 but not replace.
RAudi> You replaced the white .1 with an orange RS? Congrats!
