Where to purchase a roll cage?
Hi, I'm new to the forums. Just picked up a members 997.1 GT3. Wow what a car, so far it's pretty counter-intuitive to drive it quickly.....it is also my first Porsche. I've already signed up for an AutoX day so I can play with the car a little.
If I wanted to install a roll-cage, either factory Porsche or aftermarket, where can I find them? Is there a consensus recommended one? I don't see any come up for sale often.
Thanks!

I just took the leap and bought one for my 997.2 gt3 from BBI. Love everything they do so it was a no brainer. Its easily bolted in and fully reversible. I think they're doing a 10% off sale now too. Mine should be here any day now but I have no worries itll be solid.

do it - even if its primary function is car jewelry!
NO drilling, perfect fit - I bought mine (DAS Sport) used (like new - as it made the seat position difficult for a very tall dude), matching paint - couldn't pass up

I picked one up from Titan Motorsports, they also offer them in several colors. I ordered mine about 2 months ago and it just shipped yesterday. Would have gone through Sharkwerks but Alex said they haven't had them in forever and doesn't seem them getting them in the foreseeable future.

There is also Heigo, who probably makes the closest thing to a Factory bar. However, dealing with them can be a pain. If you decide to go with them, I'd highly suggest letting Rhonda do the footwork for you.

I have one I removed from my .2 you can have. It came with the car and I was told it was installed by the dealer for the previous owner. I'm in Virginia. Let me know if you are interested. I cannot find any identification on it. It does not have the harness bars.

Just installed the BBi one. Excellent fitment and very nicely made.
On the hunt for some Black Schroth 6-point HANS-friendly harnesses if anyone has any laying around.

I have a single Scroth Flexi 2 x 2, in black, brand new in the box. I'd let it go for $400. Expires 2025
only taken out for the picture.
