Q: How to replace carpet shelf after roll bar install?
Anyone have advice, or info, on replacement of the carpet shelf (P/N 997.551.033.00)?
I'm assuming it needs to be cutout to accommodate the bar itself (I bought another so the original will be intact in the event one wants t otake it back to original one day)
Any advice is much appreciated

Have you contacted FVD about just purchasing the factory clubsport piece that already has the cutouts.

I made a template with cardboard of where the roll bar would exit the carpet. You will need to make a slit at the edge of the carpet to where the holes will be made. I used a hole saw to drill the holes for the bars to come through. This has to be done at an angle since the bars come through at an angle. If you take your time it isn't that difficult.

I do not unfortunately since it was many years ago that I did it. There may be a template floating around here on Rennlist. I literally just made a template from cardboard on each side just to get the correct location of the bars exit and drilled with the hole saw at a relatively similar angle to the bars. I have the BBI bar and when I picked up my bar I saw one being installed. They didn't even use a template when cutting the carpet piece because I asked them if they could supply me with one.

I have the rear shelf carpet with the OEM Clubsport bar cut outs if anyone is looking for one. It also has the cut outs for the shocks so you can easily reach the rebound adjusters.

The FVD carpet is intended for the OEM/Heigo bar. The pickup on the rear shock tower for the DAS bar is slightly different. The DAS bar has some gussets welded in, that get in the way of the carpet.
I have a DAS bar as well and I cut my carpet. I used cardboard to generate a rough template/cut lines, transferred it on to the carpet, ruler, measuring tape, painters tape etc. I used a double bladed serrated automated turkey slicer/carver for cutting straight lines in the foam/carpet.
I'd say mine looks just as good as this, if not a little better. I used it as a reference for installing mine. Take your time with the project and it will turn out good. One slit all the way through (parallel with vehicle, horizontal in the image) and the other cut (perpendicular to the vehicle) is just a notch/clearance for the gusset. You may need to remove/cut some foam out from underneath. It took a while to get it just right. Lots of test fitting and crawling in and out of the car. Hopefully, you have the seats removed.
