I have no idea...I took pictures and videos of the cracked CF trim and a week later, Porsche approved new CF trim. ~2months later, it showed up at the dealer and it was replaced. Guess I was lucky?

Did you submit this to the dealer or Porsche NA warranty? This is good to hear and may give this a try.

Yes. There was a noticeable crack in the CF that happened during the manufacturing process. They just clear coated over it and sent it to me...
I've had MA Carbon produce CF pieces for me, those have been great.
My '10 GT3 CF center console was covered by warranty as well. It was replaced in 2014 and I don't know how it held up, since I sold the car two years later.

yep, same issue here in the massive center console CF trim. Cost to replace was ~5K. Had CPO take care of it! I basically don't touch the center console anymore lol
supposedly, the "upgraded" factory CF trim is better than the 2010/2011 CF....I was told this but it looks exactly the same to me so who knows

I replaced all the CF (console, cup holder trim, etc.) in my 997.2 GTS with a set from MACarbon about 5 years ago and it’s still in perfect shape, looks great and doesn’t have that yellow tint that the OEM pieces have. I just ordered replacement CF from DB Carbon for my 997.2 GT3 based on some forum reviews. I can’t comment on the quality, but Daniel at DB was easy to work with.
