Yea sorry for the joke. I think I'll just go with my gut instead of burying my head in minutiae like I tend to do. Half the pipes are X pipes it seems.

I do love learning about it but to guess what's right...an X or not...is impossible from here as you can see here in this video. The engineers at Sharkwerks and all these other companies have done their homework.

Can’t really generalize exhausts since it also depends on number of cylinders, engine configuration, cross plane or flat plane crank in the case of V8s, firing order, etc.
It would be nice if Scott from Softronic elaborated some more, they have decades of flat 6 experience.
I also tend to investigate and observe Porsche Motorsports designs and engineering and see what they’re doing
