Don't forget to save those expensive high temperature o-rings off your old ones
The reason I know is one of mine was slightly damaged and I bought a new one. And I slightly coat them with optimol to prevent damage

The back of mine says 997.361.307.03 and they’re not exactly easy to find. There doesn’t seem to be any OEM black ones, no wonder there was a guy asking me about them at a car meeting 😂
I bought my car CPO with around 2000 miles and it looks like the first owner might have customized it and painted them black 🤔
But wait, there’s more! I took a cap off to read the part number and it came unglued 😅
That’s crazy, the face is aluminum, glued to the plastic body. After 10 years the glue is failing, so good thing I took it off! I just had them off to replace tires and never would have noticed anything. My luck is it fell apart in my hand and not while driving!
It would have been costly😡
So I’ll be cleaning them up and reglueing all 4 just in case. I’ll opt for some fast drying cement of some sort, super glue gel turns rock hard and I don’t think it’s a good choice. I’ll look into Gorilla glue, it did a job on that poor lady’s hair who had to get it surgically removed! 🤯
Any glue suggestions appreciated, I might look at a marine store

I looked at the back of mine. Same part number. So that part number must just be for the back half. The front half emblem dictates the final part number. You won't find the number on the back in a parts search. You will find the part number I listed.

I sold 4 of mine to Steve and have 2 more if anyone has scratches/scrapes/dents/broken tabs/failing glue and wants to replace them. $85 shipped for the pair.

Bet Steve is happy now those holes were bizarre but I think maybe I know why. There was a threat with people complaining that under extreme heat tracking, the caps were popping off due to humidity or whatever. So the holes would keep them from pooping off I suppose-
I'll check if my 3M glue worded well, it's been setting for a while now-if it wasn't for this thread I would have lost at least one

would've been weird for a previous owner of my car to drill those for tracking reasons. The car had 10k miles & was pristine. Not a single indication that it had ever been around a track, & the orig spec of the car is definitely street oriented.

but stranger things have happened

Thanks to surlynkid for a smooth transaction

Thanks to jreifler for starting this thread!
