If you're replacing the CLs with new ones, it might be time to use a blow torch to warm it up and spray some sort of penetrating oil on it. Heat will make it expand. The other tool that's not supposed to be used is an impact wrench, but in this case you might need to try it. Those Milwaukee impact drivers cost about $250 and might be worth a try since you won't use that CL anymore. The Renntorq wrench on the link I posted goes up to 790 ft/lb, the guy on that thread broke his and it cost $300 to repair a $2200 tool

So I'd warm it up pretty good with the blow torch, spray penetrating oil without letting it get on the CL outer teeth, us the impact gun, then keep trying with to a long 6 foot pipe extension to the breaker bar.
Also, the danger is the CL tool might get damaged.

And once this surgery is completed you should post detailed pics
Shine a light into the hub to see how the threads fared, as well as the CL nut itself.

Default I had the same issue once....

I had this issue once after going to the dealer on my GTS.... I ended up getting a 40" solid 3/4 Breaker bar, and adding an additional 48" of pipe on that... Had about 7' of bar in the end... This plus car running with breaks applied and a friend to apply pressure to the bar with me got it off....

Here is the breaker bar:
Amazon Amazon

NOTE: I also ended up doing a 5lug conversion shortly after this and sleep better every night after doing so....

Good Luck and let us know how it goes.

Ha. Thanks! Got the torque multiplier in today. May try again tonight or tomorrow.

I do the lube maintenance on my CL parts, but even when maintained they are harder to remove than they are to install. There is usually some amount of jumping on the end of the breaker bar. I've lost about 40 lbs this year. When I was 230 I had no trouble removing the nuts... at 190 there is a lot more struggle.

jeez.. i weigh just shy of a buck thirty on a good day. The car I bought last year (thanks again, Doug) already had the 5-lug conversion done. That was on my list as a wish, realize now it was a need for me. Jreifler I actually tried to buy this car (congrats btw) twice, and missed it both times.

All things considered, you are probably lucky that you couldn’t remove the center lock nuts, as the full weight of the car resting only on the short, tapered wheel locating pins could have turned ugly and expensive if the wheel / s came off and the car dropped

Torque multiplier success. Dug a damn hole into my garage floor, but that’s what it took to loosen it. Infinite gratitude for the community intel. The “problem” wheel took a substantial amount of effort even with the multiplier. Carefully inspected and greased everything. Torqued to spec. Looks the way it should look now. Active dislike for the person who put them on last.

OMG, what a saga here. Sorry guys, the CL's look the business, but this is why I prefer the older technology. I'm not trying to be a Smart *** here. So glad you were able to get the CL off, finally.

Wow. Glad you figured it out. Do you know much torque was applied with the multiplier?

No way to know, but it was a bunch. Took a number of smaller efforts and all the brake pedal we could muster to break it.

At this point, I totally understand why someone would swap back to lugs.

my Labs used to "help" all the time too ... funny,... but not funny

Glad you got the troubling CL off & lubed up correctly. Even with something like this, for the street I still love them.

I feel very fortunate to have it. Such an amazing car. I’m convinced it’s the best road-going 911 ever made. Certainly the best I’ve ever driven.

100%

My wife and I took ours out yesterday for a long drive through the mountains. She hates it but the smile on my face makes it all worth it.
She can't understand why we don't just take her 5 Series because it has heated seats LOL.
