My '88 has 153k miles. I don't drive it a lot anymore but I don't baby it when I do.

I received a PM from another member suggesting that maybe it was a former racer that was at the dealership when the car was originally sold. But I'd definitely like if it were Hans Mezger!

Oh crap, I did miss your post! Derek Bell, pretty amazing! The Al Holbert/Derek Bell years in the 962s basically got me hooked on racing when I was a kid in the 80s! Thank you for figuring it out. How did you recognize that?

Some REALLY big swells last week! You won't catch me out in the water when its that big. I'm aiming for a PCA track day at AMP in January.

I know! I missed last week's swell (my 13 year old was begging me to take him out of school LOL!). Maybe I will head out to amp with PCA! Will a stock 7.2 gt3 pass sound at Amp? I took my 997.1 there once with a sharky bypass and it flunked!

Keep one of those in the glovebox https://www.autozone.com/fittings-an...ece/143716_0_0

That's how we pass Laguna Seca sound with bypass

That will help tlarocque, but I have a side muffler delete 997 set up on my 996 gt3, so no valves or valve lines to plug to quiet her down. pretty sure I won't pass at AMP (or Laguna Seca!).

ScottAZ - Hmmm... I guess I better figure that out. I am going to email Dan (DE coordinator out there) and see what he can tell me based on other cars out at AMP.

Kaiv - how does that work? Maybe I can swing by your shop and you can show me? Any idea what you registered in dB at LS?
