Default Part Number Request: 2011 GT3 RS instrument cluster in black

Hey RL,

Looking to purchase a new instrument cluster in black. It’s hard to tell if the part is the same between 997.1 and 997.2.

Seems like the part numbers have been superceded a few times.

Anyone know for certain? The clusters look to be the same even though the redline is 100 rpm higher from .1 to .2.

thanks,

kw

2010-2011 RS (not 4.0) gauge cluster for USA
997 641 103 94D 07

I recommend including your VIN wherever you order from so that they can verify any part numbers.

I think you might run into issues with title as the odometer will change. The dealer will need to program as well.

From the reading I have done on various threads here, the mileage is not stored in the cluster itself but rather in the DME. It's hard to figure out who to believe in all the historical threads.

CA requires a title update if the odo has been changed, this is where the dealer comes in along with programming. I believe mileage is stored and communicated between a few modules.

Thanks @FLT6SPD I will contact the local dealer and see what the process is. I've already purchased the cluster, so hopefully its simple.
