If you are going to buy a GT2, buy a 2009. (All things equal)

other than infotainment, what are the differences for 09? I just don’t know much about them.

That is a peach of a car in Doug’s inventory.

I have an ‘09, and I think whatever the differences are between a .1 and a .2 and very low production number.

so, it has the .2 suspension updates? Or just interior/infotainment updates? I’m just curious. I don’t think I’ve seen/been in an 09 gt2.

So far as I know (which may not be true so treat it accordingly), the only significant difference between the 2008 and 2009 GT2s sold in the North American market is the addition of the PCM 3.0. Again, I've read this in numerous places and believe it to be accurate, but it's not gospel. I'd agree that the 09 is more desirable because of it's even lower build/sales numbers and the addition of the newer PCM, but you can wait a LONG time for an appropriate 2009 to come available on market.

PS. How in the hell did Doug@switchcars manage to incorrectly spell MEZGER on that for sales ad. Shame shame!

Ok, that makes sense. Seems like I’d have seen some discussion before regarding any mechanical refreshes to .2 if that actually happened. PCM update I knew for sure.

2008: 212
2009: 26

That is according to Pors9. So quite a few less in 2009. Probably combination of last year of production, people waiting for the .2 model and the 2008 recession.

That’s really cool to see, the only other distinguishing thing I can remember talking to a aficionado was that a few of the 2009’s were actually built in 2009 distinguishing them as the last off the line versus most Had a VIN 2009 but built in 2008
