Unhappy Tears to flame-retardant fabric in Carrera GT-style seats

The flame-retardant material on the seats of my GT3 is starting to either detach or tear from the plastic parts on the seat (see picture below). Is this a known failure mode?

I'm wondering whether a generic car upholsterer will be able to fix it or some specialised equipment will be necessary!

I have the seat but not the rips.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find a good guy who can repair it without much drama...

Just wanted to say that the seat has been fixed and now looks perfect. Went to a reputed car upholsterer in town and he sorted it for 50 eur. He told me that there was an adhesive tape holding the fabric in that place and that tape had failed to properly hold the fabric.
