New member, new RS! :)
Hey gang, I’ve been a lurker for quite some time, and have really enjoyed the vast amount of info available here—so figured it was time to join. I’ve had a strange Porsche history, here’s a quick overview. Started with a CPO 2014 Panemera S picked up in 2016 (my first nice car), then picked up a CPO 2015 Panamera GTS (Loved it, but wasn’t missing something), then tried a 2016 F-Type R—but it was at the doctor 5 times in 5 months, then got my first new Porsche (2017 Cayman S, and loved it, but was still missing something), then grabbed a 2018 CPO 911 GTS (my first 911–and it was fast and furious—but did too much work for me), then traded that for a 2011 CPO GT3—and fell madly in love. Raw, noisy (SW exhaust already on it), manual, and forced me to be a much better driver—but wildly fun. Then, I started thinking about an RS. I knew the .2 was the faster, more refined version, but the .1 was more aesthetically to my taste, and was even a bit more raw. So, last week I finally pulled the trigger. Grabbed a 2007 RS, black with orange, leather steering wheel, all carbon fixin’s inside, and only 4,200 miles. Just got back from the canyon and am loving both the drive and can’t stop looking back at it when I park it. So, there you have it. I’m looking to add some extras in time, but first just looking to get to know the car, and its/my limits together. Thanks for reading the novel!
