I would vote you hang on to it, and bring it to Smokies again, and drive with me. Ha!

I would just park it. Thats the beaty of cars. Once they are paid for you can just leave them until you feel that you want to use them again. My daughter is into horses. When they loose interest for a while, its hard to just park them. Still cost a ton of money.

BTW I agree with all of the comments. Hold onto it and use when you can. You'll get accustomed to your new ever-changing life and it'll be a great outlet to jump in the car, when you can and take the long way to the grocery store, etc...

I had two kids when I got my Cayman. I traded it for a Cayenne when the third one arrived. After a boxster loaner I traded in the Cayenne for a high mileage CPO Carrera 997.1 after a year. Kids loved the guards red CPO Carrera cab 997.2 I switched to. Fourth kid arrived. I planned on getting a 991.1 cab with PDK so my wife could drive it. My 2010 GT3 popped up one morning at my local dealer (including two full bags of groceries from Trader Joe's accidentally left in the frunk). It took a couple days to take delivery where I first had to explain that it wasn't a cab . . . it was a bit more than I planned on spending . . . I got another manual . . . oh, and there are only two seats . . . but it's a very special and difficult car to find. Almost three years later I have talked about getting something else but my wife tells me that I need to keep it.

^^^ nice story. love that you went for the full stable of ,..... kids! Lol. Just joking around,... kids were the BEST thing my wife & I ever did. They ground us, and then even grow up to become car nutts too! And they will ALWAYS support our not-so-logical GT purchases. Sounds like your wife likes the GT3 too.
What color did you get for your 997.2 GT3? .... Any notable options that you love?
guessing it's not a SW 3.9,.... but clearly the moral of your story is .... KEEP IT flsupraguy!!

Just got back from the Smokies trip. Amazing to have a car I can beat on at Sebring, drive long trips, and be 100% reliable!

It's not as bad as I thought it would be. I have the rare retractable GT2 carbon buckets and full $10,000 Ohlin track suspension. It obviously is more harsh then stock but was certainly doable. Having a remote valve controller on longer trips makes the exhaust quiet when wanted. It's ultimately the perfect street/track car.

1. Exhaust selection will obviously play a factor. I have full Dundon loud (black) setup which is pretty loud
2. The factory stereo is laughable (I have sound package plus) so get aftermarket speakers/bluetooth/carplay setup if you want to listen to tunes
3. The steering is quite "alive" vs. the 991 gen cars, doesn't tire me out but you do have to pay attention at speed
