Why would you delete AC and radio??? Did you get a discount or have to pay to not have those options?

ben,... keep in mind the title of this thread.... rare means unique & limited & thats what drives being collectible. Collectible can mean $$.

it doesn't make sense to the "driver",... but it is a different market, so put yourself in those shoes. It's not my cup-o-tea,.. then again I don't collect art either (never collected baseball cards as a kid either)

I would be a horrible collector.
Except I do have every TOOL album...
But then I would need a radio...

I vote for Kermit. With a radio

PS. Cooled seats on the track is an amazing thing..

silver is the rarest color. Mostly in part that nobody ordered it when skittles were all the rage.

orange was very popular thus not rare, but beautiful.

green commands the most money now on resale.

white was an expensive option.

black was a no cost option from what i can recall. Most didnt fall in love with the orange wheels.

Today, any color is cool as it is a special 911.

The rarest color in the US is the color that came with welded Clubsport roll bar plates from the factory. And as I recall that would be Black or Silver. In some cases the rarest color is not the most desirable color. BTW White was offered as a color choice very early in the order process. Based on popularity at the time early real buyers were placing orders not numbers or how subjective opinions changed over time it was Orange, a toss up between Green / White then a lump of Black and Silver. If you read RL in period that order will become very clear. It shaped up differently because early owners started to remove decals and change the orange accents on the black and silver cars and popular opinion shifted a bit. That's how the numbers became the numbers. I lived it, bought it, had welded plates in my car, was active on this board and live in one of the two largest Porsche markets so I watched it unfold. I'm going to get blasted for this one

^ as you well know, we don't buy cars to drive. we buy to admire and to grow our wealth. as such rarity is important. certainly rarity doesn't need to be desirable color. if dog **** metallic is 1 of 1, it WILL command a premium....

I was unable to secure that dog **** metallic GT3RS thus I am still cannot retire.

Classic Mooty! He knows that 15 years ago I paid approximately a $75k market premium to own a Grand Prix White CGT. So yes I too have been sucked into the idiot paint color black hole.

Nice! Mine was Green and also one of the first 10. I heard the rumors about the goodies in the frunk. I think my dealer or a mechanic at my dealer that prepped the car took my ROW stuff. I saw it before it was prepped but they wouldn't let me access the inside. Bummer.
