Default Trade shift **** caps

I have an OEM red shift pattern and volcano gray shift **** cap. This is not painted, it came this way from the factory. Looking to trade someone for standard silver shift pattern and volcano gray.

Is the stock cap normally lighter than the volcano gray?

Do they just pop off? Mine feels like it moves a bit when shifting sometimes.

every so often, mine also moves slightly under my hand

If it's just tabs underneath, its probably a easy pop off with a plastic trim removal tool. Are the tabs at 6 & 12 o'clock?

Question is how to snug it up after removal. I imagine the tabs are plastic. If they were metal they could be tweeked a bit to snug up once popped back in.

You can literally pop it off with your fingernails they are plastic tabs in 3 points, it's like how a wheel center cap stays in place.
