Default Thoughts on this DME for .1 GT3

This car has been tracked, but maintained. I have driven it and it feels tight. Range 5 was nearly 400 hours ago, Range 3 75 hours ago.

It is priced competitively however; definitely not a garage queen, but a presentable driver with a lot of track miles (12k at minimum).

What do you all think?

I checked my DME last weekend and before i bought my car a few years ago too.
I think its too high, and you can probably find another car with a much better report.
Any potential damage cannot be undone with out removing the engine and rebuilding it.

Range 1 > 9000-9200 - 1338 ignitions in this range / last one at 884 engine hours.
Range 2 > 9200-9400 - and so on.
Range 3 > 9400-9600
Range 4 > 9600-1000
Range 5 > 10000-11000
Range 6 > 11000 RPM ( it has nothing here which is good ).

2007 GT3 w/35k miles

If you don't mind sharing, what is the price? I ask because you could get a much cleaner DME report and car for mid to upper $80s.

$84k, but it comes with a few extras, probably worth $5k. Figure $80k after subtracting my time to sell off extra stuff I don't need

Last stage 5 overrun was a long time ago but I would pass on any car with 4's and 5's as a general rule. You should be able to find something like this without much trouble. Good luck!

I would pass. That DME will follow that car forever and you will turn off buyers when you try to sell it.

I agree with the above posts. I recently purchased a GT3 in the low $80s and it had just 8 overrevs in range 1. It took me awhile to find the right car at the right price but they do pop up.

I think this is the key.
Porsche buyers are the worst to sell used cars to.
You might be willing to buy this car (and it could be just great) but there will be very few buyers when you go to sell it.

I've bought and sold 4 Porsches over the last 17 years and the amount of nitpicking, hemming and hawing and overthink is amazing.
I'm guilty too.

Us Porsche guys are a picky bunch. Think about resale as much as you think about purchase.

Good luck with your search!

I would pass on it even with the extras.
Curious as to how many miles on it?

Are you going to track the heck out of it? Would it be reasonable to offer the asking price minus the cost of a rebuild? Total lowball but reasonable offer? Nobody has suggested a reasonable offer for an otherwise good car with bad DME results. These cars must still change hands - what is the price delta?

Car probably has 32-38k miles on it, priced like a clean Dme vehicle.

based on you wanting this for your wife, and she does not want a hard core track rat, ... pass. DME showing hard track miles, plus the selling tactics of DallasMS seem fishy.... markets both PCCB & Steel, but I could not find whether the original PCCB's come with the purchase. heated seats,... where are those now since it comes with buckets (although don't those look like the GT2 seats? some else might know),... on & on.

for me (& my own money),... even you could get this car into the low $70's, and it passed a PPI,... the DME over-revs compared to the engine hours they occurred,... something tells me the previous owner decided this was a good time to unload the car. Is it getting ready to need a lot of engine repair? hmmmmm.
