Porsche didn't really put a "List" out there to choose from, correct?,... you just had to "submit" for what color you thought you wanted, and they would say Yes or No, correct?
.... although I think I have seen, that if you were actually AT Porsche in Germany, they have huge wall pallete's that show all the colors from years past that you could choose from. But if you were in outside of Germany & did not have that luxury,....

Does anyone have the full list of names for PTS selection choices from the 7.2 lineup? (so this is for both 2010 & 2011 right?,... or did the PTS pallete change between those years too?)

Since this thread is asking for pics of them all,.... I'd be interested to see which, and how many were approved and "out there".

I know of the PORS9 site, and can see all the quantities of colors listed. But was more wondering, back in those years,... how did folks "decide" on what PTS color to ask for.

TIA,
=Steve

I am for sure not the expert but there was a time when I think you could choose from the whole Porsche PTS Palette. Like a Sherwin Williams color chart! As time went on I think you had to get a PTS color approved as a part of the process so they could make sure the color would physically work on the car. I’m sure others will straighten me out..

Not that many PTS 997.2 RS’s around. Soo don’t think this thread will go for too long. :-). Here are my two PTS cars. I kept the black one. The speed yellow is in a speed yellow collection. doubt it will ever be for sale again.

I had heard that too,... and thus it is why I am asking about this particular time slot in history. Let's say 2009 when you could start ordering the 997.2. You walk into the dealership (or call your favorite "insider" that supposedly has hooks into PAG) and say ....

What a pair. Did you have both at the same time? How did you make the decision on what to keep? Lastly, was the Speed Yellow for sale at the same time as mine at PNH?

I had this pair at the same time. I wanted to keep the black one then, but ended up selling it back to its original owner who is a good friend. Always wanted another black RS, and when this one came up, I jumped on it. Yeah same one that was for sale at PNH when your's was there.

Living the dream! All you need is a CGT and you’ll never buy another car. Ever.

Thanks guys! The 997.2 RS is one of the best cars Porsche ever made, along with the CGT. It’s on the radar....

That's what people always say to me about the F40. I guarantee you tell anyone over 30 and under 50 and they say if I had that I'm done. Its almost never true. The reason I have hard data is because there is an F40 broker expert. It's not wise to roll up to a mansion and look at an F40 for 10 mins and buy it. And PPIs aren't useless but not of much value. Anyway I've learned to never say if I had that I'd be done. JBO
