BTW and FWIIW, I just saw a white 2011 RS for sale in the classified ad section of PCA's webpage.

Haha!
I meant to say socket but nut is applicable in its own way.

The GT3 is somewhat sensitive to set up where there is a good amount of adjustments one can play with. For this reason always had Goldcrest do the setup. The rest of the car is fairly easy and accessible to work on. Lots of DIY posts on our hosts site. Just go back to the 07-10 period when the car was new. Look for posts from MIKYMU (among others) and you will find terrific documentation.

I do all my own maintenance also. The only downside is the lack of records for the work. It can deter some buyers, even if you have it all recorded.

I also do my own maintenance (documented by me with receipts) and have driven the car on the track from time to time without a single miss shift (clean DME). I find it silly how some buyers would not even look at my car if it were up for sale due to those actions. This just gives me further reasoning to continue enjoying the car.

I hear you both. I keep records and invoices concerning all DIY maintenance...as much for my own benefit as anything. When and if the time comes, I hope there are enough buyers around that understand the mentality, habits, culture, etc. of the garden variety Porschephile/DIYer and what that means in terms of how well the car has been maintained. I view track time the same way.

If I have to take a haircut on the sales price as a result? Oh well,...as I'm certain most of you would agree... that's the cost of an experience we wouldn't trade for much anything else.
