I will tactically take it out. If it hasn't snowed yet. Or if it snowed but they didn't really put any salt down and it rained since. I wouldn't call it driving but I try to keep things rollin'. Usually by late feb into late March tho it goes about 6 weeks and that is the extent of it. You do have to watch higher speeds tho until late spring once all the gravel is gone even with clear bra. But we don't get too much snow compared to other places on Long Island.

I use Pirelli Sottozero Series 2 on my 997.2 GT3. And I'm sure I'll be painting the front bumper in a couple of years...

I looked at those but can't get the right size for the rears.

While you won’t find winter tires in your size, it’s just a matter of having a set of wheels with the correct back spacing made up to fit the Pirelli Sottozero in:

F 235/35/19
R 295/30/19

Easier and less hassle to just have your winters mounted on a separate set of rims.

With these tires, the only thing to stop you is your front splitter turning into a snow plow, and perhaps knowing that the GT3 variants have less chassis corrosión protection (apparently why the corrosion warranty was much shorter on GT cars).

Thanks. Probably too late to organize for this year but will definitely look into it for next. Today would have been an excellent day to take the GT3 RS out, sunny sky, clear roads, and temps around 35F.
