I'm typically a hard critic and I think he did a good job.

I struggle to understand how an RS 4.0 would score lower than a 997 Turbo.

Because he's using his " Doug score " system where he rates something like " practicability " : I believe he gave the RS 4.0 a 3 out of 10. I'm sure he gave the Turbo more because of the back seats. Either way,it just doesn't make sense. I guess we should just take it as entertainment more than anything else...

The wheels are horrible.

Maybe that was the problem because he didn't get it.

Modern amenity score?
Practicality score?

Dude give me a break.

Kudos for even trying to quantify all this stuff but I disagree with his scores, his perspective and his comparos and I've driven all those cars. Where he loses most credit? He ranks the weak sauce 997 turbo higher.

Doug's a good guy. He scores the best all around car, not sports car. He knows that.

His vids are generally interesting but he got sooo many details wrong with this one. 4.0 specific air scoop? Roll cage story? Like others said, the elephant in the room are those wheels and he COMPLETELY missed that...

His driving impressions vs. the 991 gen cars are irrelevant bordering on absurd.

This guy just doesn't get it--in no small part because his "driving" consisted of taking the car around the block a couple times...

He's managed his brand well and gets to drive a lot of cool cars

Hew had a funny one a few years ago when he reviewed Ferrari 360.
At a gas station "debating" with a guy in a prius why gas mileage really didn't matter.
I laughed.

"I shift very well" (or something like that) as he grossly over revs to try to rev match before downshift. He wasn't even close.

This guy is Irritant #1. But, motor mouths get a lot of hits on u tube. The comments are pretty funny, there's always a "Doug is the type of guy..." in there, he's constantly getting roasted.

Those wheels are hideous, and I agree the graphics on the car aren't the best looking either.
