2010 GT3 WITH 10K AND OVERREV 1-6
A friend of mine is interested a 2010 GT3 with only 10K miles. Original price was 120K but now lowered to 112K - Should he walk away due to overrevs up to 6? Thanks

If I am reading the report right, it looks like someone did a gnarly misshift to me at 75.4 operating hours but then the car has been driven a few hundred hours since to 335.6. Therefore, it doesn't seem like the overrevs damaged anything in relation to when it happened to current. So, I wouldn't walk on the car if it ticks all the other boxes you want, I would just recommend a closer PPI (i.e. looking inside the motor and etc. beyond the standard PPI). You can also do the math to verify this. For example, I am not even sure what 1 revolution is timewise. Definitely less than .01 second if my math is right. I think 320 is well under a second too for R5. Also, for the other ranges, I am pretty sure the times for the ranges past that is included (i.e. the time it did in R5 is part of the R5, 4, 3, 2, 1 time...).

Just factor in the big hit you'll take when you go to sell it as an individual down the road and make sure your current purchase discount covers it. I'm sure that'll be in the $10K-$15K range.

Man, poor car. Not to start a whole other topic, but too many people get into these GT cars and 964/993 clubbers thinking they can handle it. PDK only for them.
As for the car, pass. They are slowly going down and you’ll ALWAYS live with that report and so will be next buyer when his eyes perk fully open. Heck, if you want to, I’d push him into a 07/08 RS. Way more special.

That data looks very odd to me. I have never seen a report which such close number of ignitions in all ranges. I am assuming the right number is at what operating hours... appears like loooong time ago so it's a safish bet.

It's obvious this was a single mis-shift that caused the over revs throughout every range. Not odd at all.

can you clarify your above msg? .. I don't get it. ... what does 964/993 ... handling a GT car ... and PDK, all have in common?
Thanks,

Sword, I know you didn't want to start another thread on this,... but it does seem the OP has received the feedback needed on that particular car.... so I don't mind asking....
