Fixed the above pictures.

I actually have set of like new Motorsports LONGER inner bearing (part #16 above) - useful for LOTS of camber, wide body cars, etc...

I think I have an extra new pair of the standard length ones. I’d have to check to be sure..

Yes - lots more >3 deg if you want.

BTW - I have 2.4 deg in the rear with the standard OEM 2 piece arrangement

After talking to Race Mechanic, he says for 997s the control arms usually wear out first . So plan is to order new OEM Control arms front and rear. Thinking of going to Sonnen OEM Porsche parts after reading another thread about them. Noticed in their website for the rear they are called Ft. Lateral Rods rather than Control Arms but no option for GT2 is listed, but only for 911 , 911 Turbo. Anyone knows if its the same part for Turbo and GT2 ? I sent Sonnen a question, so far no reply. Will probably have to telephone.

As for Motorsport parts , he reckons its too harsh for our B roads. Suggested I have a go in Sepang track and if I get hooked then look at PM parts !

997-331-043-01 Torque arm for rear of 997 GT2 , in Sonnen parts list it says for 911, 911 Turbo , doesn't say its for GT2 .specifically. Spoke to a Ryan Kerr who says its also for GT2 and dont know why it is not listed as also for GT2 in their parts list.

The other part number is 996 341 043 06, front control arm for GT2 , but the part number starts with 996 and not 997.. In the website it says for GT2 but am wondering ifs for the 996 GT2 and not 997 GT2 ? unless its the same part for both gen?

As it turned out , the front control arm part number is the same for the 996 and 997 GT2. All four new arms installed and the car is handling nice again. But there is some suspension noises remaining and its a strange situation - the noises sound like small loose stones hitting the underside and start happening only after travelling 10 km or so , when its "warmed up". Anyone experienced similar ? Thnx

GT2 now running a combination of new Porsche Motorsports Lower Arms , and OEM Torque arms. The overall ride is a touch firmer than stock but not as firm as I thought it would be. Hillclimb is good although I couldn't say it is faster than OEM but maybe its the OEM Torque arms combination that makes it softer. I guess significant handling improvement would mean increasing track width to say 2.7 front like a cup car...

Overall happy with the replacement arms and cost of PMS is about the same as OEM for the lower arms.

Next up is the Coilovers. The front ones are starting to sound like clamshells frying in a pan. Some thoughts of replacing with KW or Ohlins Road & Track but cant see any any either of these mfgs talk of integration with PASM or by pass to avoid check lights. Any insights here will be appreciated!
