RL is a great place to buy a car and a typically bad place to sell one. In my experience.

That being said, tough to say what a 39kmi pumpkin is worth because just not many data-points for those miles on that car. If it was 5-20kmi, easier to value.

It is also not the right season. I'll probably just passively list the car over winter and do a marketing push in the spring. I was thinking that RL was the best place to focus my effort but I am beginning to think Jrtaylor is right.

I did look at BaT. GT3s have done well there. Expense is reasonable to place the ad. Maybe I'll give it a go.

Pull the ad. leaving it out there can make buyers think it is 'stale' or has issues. Market is ok on these but price is the name of the game.
I wouldn't bother with BAT. A good consigner may net you more in the end.

I'm sorry if I offended people, but it would sell if the price is right. 39k miles isn't high except on a GT car for some reason. It's definitely not a collector a those miles. I would also recommend pulling the listing and I would recommend having someone like Doug with Switchcars sell it for you. Good luck!

I don’t understand it’s still for sale.
Maybe I do need the clunky old original water cooled manual RS..
Orange - purple - green would brighten up the garage nicely.

There are alot of new manual options out there nowadays. 991 GT3 4.0L, 991GT3 Touring....
The 997 Series will come into its own once the 991 series are out of warranty and become older. They are the last hotrod 911.

Currently a 997.1RS in the $120's is as low as you will typically see.

Rennlist is decent place to list, however everybody on Rennlist typically already has a Porsche. So you need to go and put the vibe out at other places. Bring a trailer is decent.

Hey LooseMarble, GLWS, and sorry to hear you're letting it go.

I probably drive by your place all the time to go hit the twisties in southern AA county ... down on Patuxent River Rd, Sands Rd, & down through Aquasco,.. etc... in fact there are 3 or 4 of us that on any particular early weekend morning hit these roads together (one of them is another 7.1 GT3RS owner here on RL that is local to us. sister to your pumpkin).

Anyway,... if you are still driving it, and want to get together for some Fall driving, PM me and we can hook up. I'd probably be in my Aqua Blue 7.2 GT3.

Well. I thought I would bump this since I spent so much time creating the post. I'll crank up the marketing machine in the spring but would be glad to talk to any prospective buyers anytime. Very few miles added to car since the listing was created.

re-subscribed ... although I'd prefer you kept it, and we get to met up & do some drives together this Spring/Summer.

.... only just bought my Aqua Blue 7.2 GT3 last Fall,... so NEED more seat time!!

maybe even get widers911 to pull out his new-to-him 3.9 Sharkwerks 7.1 GT3.
