Hi Guys
I just wanted to double check the removal of my wing end plates (997.1 RS ) which I'm painting . Is the proper size a T30 for the bolts ? Anyone experience the inserts breaking free inside the wing ? - that always makes me nervous when I remove the plates .

Hey Guys ,
I did make an attempt at removing my wing end plates for paint a week ago and stopped on the first screw when it seemed hard to remove . I know they use Locktite blue on the threads , but I was really concerned with the nutsert breaking free within the wing . Has anyone had that problem and if so how was it repaired ? Even on my '16 RS the screws came out hard and made me sweat until they were all out . They also had the Locktite on the threads and I put it back on when I reinstalled the painted plates . I really wanted to paint the mirrors ( which I had off ) and end plates to match my silver wheels , but I don't want to open a can of worms for a minor cosmetic change . Any thoughts ?
