I’ll make a decision in the next few days. Regarding financing options, they provided a few lenders (premier financial services) who does simple interest leases with buyouts which I’m not interested in and then woodside credit who have some rapport with on my 1970 Nova restomod who offers a good deal on restored vehicles but I’d consider a poor lender for anything other than that (rates and down payment requirements)

any places i should talk to?

Thanks for the help guys, I appreciate it!

If just driving back roads, i almost prefer the 997.1 non-RS. Rear end is a little more lively and it's a slightly more raw feel than the 7.2 non-RS. I think the 7.2 non-RS is the least raw out of them all. 7.2 non-RS the best for dd and much better out-of-box suspension setup for the track (much more planted than the 7.1). I think it's the least exciting for twisty back road fun.

RS is a completely different discussion amongst 3.6, 3.8, 4.0.

But for a fun street car, my pick is 7.1 based purely on value. That being said, I don't own one (I used to and it was my first 911).

Look at XCEL Federal Credit Union. They are the endorsed credit union of the Porsche Club of America and have a big ad in their monthly magazine. They have the best interest rates I could find as well. I have 2.75% over 60 months on a used car loan. I only put like 5k down as well. Highly recommended.

It's funny you mention that because it's the only thing I would change about the cars "look" - I'm sure the steels will do the job for what I intend to do but it's always a nice touch.

Very pretty car, and looks very clean. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Another first time Porsche owner using the 2007 GT3 as a gateway drug. I have added a couple more to the mix.
Lightstream (Suntrust) treated me right with a 2.4% rate, 60 month term on a pricey 964 a couple years ago.
