I started doing some basic maintenance to my 07 GT3 and started with the air filter.
After removing the box, I discovered an oily substance(two small puddles) sitting in the bottom ribs of the intake bellows.....see attached picture.
Any thoughts on what this stuff is and how it might have gotten there?
Thanks

A small amount of oil in the intake can be normal. It does not hurt to purchase some MAF cleaner and spray the the sensor in the MAF housing. I would also buy some throttle body cleaner and clean the butterfly valve and opening.
