Planning on getting some Delvac 75W-90 Gear oil, and while looking for a supplier I noticed the bottle is different now-
I then found a link saying only packaging changed, same formula.
http://theoilnet.com/Atlantic-States...elvac-1-range/
Searching the forums I found a good supplier
https://lufteknic.myshopify.com/coll...w-90-gear-lube
And they accept PayPal, amazon doesn't-
Any other suppliers available?
Thnx

Suncoast has it too...dealership in FL.

I had issues with suppliers on Amazon sending me the wrong fluid.

Shipping charges kill the deal in most cases-can't seem to find it locally except for grainger, and it's around $68 there, plus traffic to pick it up...
I am weary about buying online and getting something else by mistake.
Also looking at aviation supply websites

After reading reviews on amazon, the vendor seems legit with confirmed purchases so I went ahead and ordered- the other option was jet.com which I haven't used-
As far as draining the transaxle, after reading procedures, it seems total capacity is different from refill, I imagine some of the oil stays even if you leave it dripping for some time.
I read quite a bit on this and even though liquid-moly, Motul, Redline and other options are available, I'll stick to Mobil since it's Porsche approved and based on other recommendations-
Also I have less than 20K miles and no tracking so no real hurry to drain. But the factory interval seems long at 12 years...
Best,
JB

Not to derail the thread but I've been a die hard fan of Redline fluids for the last 20 years.. their motor oils are superior to Mobil 1 and I plan to use the 75W90NS gear oil when the time comes (I've had the car for only 3mos).

if you change frequently, delvac is great. i'd rather change often, than run a more expensive oil longer

I like Red line products - in fact I use their engine oil, but I would only us the Porsche recommend fill for the tranny. My last Track car had a good 6speed (Subaru STi) and the only fill it liked was the factory fill...
No hard data to back this up though.

Do you track your car a lot? If so, Delvac is great. But if not, I'd use the factory trans fluid. Delvac makes the shifting balky for the first 10-15 min of driving until the transmission is warmed up in my experience.

I've used Redline NS 75 - 90 in my 993 / 996 GT3 / 360 Modena with good results (better shifting than Mobile 1 75-90)
but
recently changed to the Delvac in the GT3 as an experiment. I notice no difference in shifting but conventional wisdom is that Delvac is "better" for track day use so I'm going to stick with it for now.
I suspect with the few miles per year / track days per year I do, either would work well.
If in a race car? Delvac or better, not Redline most likely.

Just received the oil, bought it from amazon- free shipping, $47.97
It was in fact shipped from Grainger, which oddly lists for $68 on their website
The cap is blue, so another variation from the first pic I posted-
