Default 2011 GT3 at Volvo of Palo Alto

Anyone know the history on this car?

https://sfbay.craigslist.org/sfc/ctd...531613627.html

I called to ask about it, but they are supposedly firm on price due to the car being on consignment. Not sure if anyone has gone to see it in person?

The sales guy knew the car was way over market, but said to not even bother coming to look if I wasn't going to pay what the asking was. No offense to the seller if he is on these forums, but at 30K miles he is probably 20K-25K over market. Someone looking to spend 130 + TTL might as well buy the 997.2 GT3 RS from Fresno...I am feeling like the guy doesn't actually want to sell the car.

Oops I didn't see the car for sale sticky thread. If we want to move this in there I'm okay with that. Thanks

Love to hear your thoughts,

Ken

hi guys. I have god’s chariot and I’m wondering what this is worth right now. After looking around it seems prices are all over the map. Any help would be appreciated.

I don’t know. These golden reigns are hard to find. I might let it go for a little less though because the choir of angels costs a lot to feed.

I'll just have to keep looking. The car looks decent, but at that price they are going to need someone with a lot of money and zero sense.

Maybe the seller has a garage reno going on and needed somewhere to store it. Free storage and guaranteed not to sell.

I was thinking that it's most likely the owners car. Only reason why you would see a GT3 at a Volvo dealer IMO

just fyi to those that care, this volvo dealer is co owned and co located with the mclaren dealership, and those fellows, whom i know well, will occasionally consign cars for good customers or try to resell traded in cars for mclaren sales

i have test driven other high end p-cars and f-cars there with that backdrop - one time specifically i looked into a nice 458 there was a nice car but overpriced, and they said it was the owner's price

the fact that they put the ad out under the volvo (as opposed to mclaren) dealership banner is understandable
