in the course of having my car delivered on a flat bed truck, the front tow hook cover disappeared. Suncoast has them for sale but they are in primer only. Any thoughts how to go about getting such a small item painted to match the car??
Good question, as it takes a bit of effort to collapse the end of the plastic retaining wire and remove said cover for track days. OR, cut/rip it off.......
To remove you actually just push IN on the outboard side and the inboard side pops OUT. then you remove the cap and pull the retaining wire out halfway, pinch the plastic barb to allow it to fit through the retaining hole. then pull the pinched barb and retaining wire all the way out and voila.

push the barb into the retaining hole,
one end of the cap has a tab.
slip the tab behind the bumper cover and snap the opposite side in
done
my GTS came with a little flat plastic pry tool to pop it off.. located under the paneling in the frunk.
might need it for the first time but after regular on and off from tracking it pops off with a finger press now.
