Default Coolant line weld vendor San Diego / OC area?

I've pretty much decided to go with weld process vs pin, since I will drop engine and have total access.
Looking for a proven vendor in the San Diego / Orange County area if possible.
Yes, I know that I can ship anywhere, but I'm an old-fashioned guy and like to talk to vendors in person when possible.

Looking for the actual weld shop, not a Porsche shop that sub's the job out.

I travel to Sacramento pretty often and hope to talk to the guys @ IPB Autosport next week.

Cheers

Craig

Jae at Mirage has definitely done this process from start to finish, but I'm not sure if they do the actual welding there. Definitely worth a call.

I know a couple of independent shops that will weld aluminum. Pinning not good enough hehe

If you're going to that length, why not just re-machine the housing(s) (drill and tap/single point) and machine new threaded barbed fittings.

I'm impressed with the method used by All German Auto to fix the coolant fitting problem.

my guy has welded mine, some of mooty and about half a dozen others.
after a few years since doing the first batch, none have complaint about welds leaking.
look up my thread in terms the process i did/do. no i'm not a vehicle repair shop. we are in industrial/commercial sector.
time to time i pull my guys to my car BS

+1 I spoke with Martin Christensen several times about this and he's very knowledgeable. Ask him what he thinks about actually welding the adapter to the housing.

Also try calling Black Forest

Great viddy.
I'm pretty tight with the current general manager there, so will stop in and chat with them.
I agree that JB weld, properly applied can work wonders.

That is some fancy machine work at that one vendor, a bit out of scope though......................

^^^ Yeah, I use both guys to machine parts for my work projects, but both are car guys and both still make a bunch of custom one off high quality parts for older cars (lambo, ferrari, etc.) that can't be purchased.
