The area has chilled down since housing/rental prices have gone up so much. I would agree more crime up in SC due to the location and surrounding area in the hills of Cruz.

Bottom line, I wouldn’t sweat parking a Porsche in Seaside. You’ll you be fine.

If you’re not opposed to a minor commute (interstate totaling 30mi), look at Aptos, Corralitos, and Soquel.

^^^ Really popular spot. Right Next to the University and HWY 1 exit.

Yes, the 80’s-90’s posse on broadway literally. If your a rap fan you should research Seaside Posse, he was literally buried in his Cadillac Brome. I went to seaside high class of 89’

Did you live there when the base was open? If so, then yeah back then it was a lot more colorful. Pretty chill nowadays. Way more crime up in santa cruz or salinas.

wow ok yup Seaside Posse that looks like some strong 80s Cali rap game.

I'm also class of 89 but grew up in San Diego. Had family here used to visit in the 80's moved here in 2002.

Yes, like Spirit said this is a good spot. Close to hwy and central in Monterey so everything is pretty close.

Reviving an ol’ thread..... Yeah, it does die down when you’re By the Sea. Cannery and Alverado have some nice spots if your into a bit more noise and live music. Though Capitola is the nicest in my opine for a weekend night.

Also, hope some of you don’t have issue with PG disallowing nearly all the short term rentals. Let the free market decide says I....

Be careful - lots of scams on Carmel rentals and short term ( less than 30 days) was recently outlawed in Carmel. #
$ 150 a night close to the beach... sounds to good to be true.

Will be in carmel next week, if you want to PM me the address I can at least walk by and make sure the place exists.
