7.1 gt3 to 570s
Has anyone done this or have both?. I drove a 570s last last summer found it boring.. maybe I was quick to judge?. Saw a friends 570s track pak today. Looks awsome in white. Not saying I'm doing it. But curious to anyone has both or done the swaparoo...

Driven both in anger. I truly enjoy driving McLarens and they're incredibly fast. I wouldn't make the switch if you had an RS but for a GT3 maybe. Just remember the 570's looks are not timeless and it will eventually no longer be the quickest on the "block", but the GT3 will always be a limited production, Mezger engined, timeless, 6- speed Porsche. Tough decision none the less as I happen to really like both McLaren and Porsche.
Btw, best person to ask is CJ (CJIchiban), he owns both a McLaren and Porsche dealership.
PS
Those McLarens are stupid fast though.

I have a 997.1 GT3, and I've spent several days instructing in 570S' at the local track, in both the passenger and driver seat. I didn't have a lap timer in the McLaren, but it was no doubt quite a bit quicker than my GT3. Very composed, VERY easy to drive, and stunning to look at. There were several 570S' that we ran all day at the track without any hiccups. We also had several AMG Mercedes that went into limp mode frequently, had smoking brakes, etc.
Not surprisingly, the 570 doesn't feel as raw or connected as a 997.1 GT3, but it's quicker by any objective measure. And it's pretty comfortable for driving around town.

A local dealer called for potential customers and I got to step on it around a close space and road. It was fast. Definitely a modern sports car but not yet sure I would keep one long term if I get one.
Definitely not a track experience so it may not matter. You can consider it probably just a C&C experience.
But it would have to wait, I have a long list.
