.2 RS Decklid/Wing on .2 GT3: What's required?
Thinking of swapping out my wing for an RS wing. From what I understand, the following is needed:
1) RS decklid/uprights/wing/endplates
2) RS or Cup air box (RS & Cup are identical, correct?)
3) Air ducts (L & R)
4) 3rd brake light
5) Wiring harness
Am I missing anything else?
Thanks in advance!

The decklid and upper trim panel are available aftermarket as well, we have a few versions of the decklid including a 4.0RS version (with giant air openings) for our 4.0RS airbox.

Jamie, do you have any of the 3.8 rubber snorkels (L&R) that mate up to the airbox from the rear deck air intakes?
Also, the center deck is next to impossible to source from Porsche & PMNA. The majority of the aftermarket panels are unacceptable as far as fit and finish, even with timely bodyshop massaging.

Most all of the aftermarket carbon part makers are for race cars, so fit and finish is typically down the list behind speed and cost.
Even PMNA is typically supplied from the aftermarket carbon mfg's.

Hey D!
You should check with FVD. They work with Porsche OEM suppliers and they can bypass parts unavailability through the Porsche or PMNA network by going straight to the OEM. FVD did this with my GT3 RS.1 wing and saved me over $5K. They also convinced another OEM to build ten rear carpet shelf pieces with holes for the Euro roll bar when I only needed one and there were zero left in Porsches inventory system. FVD is awesome to work with and they can work magic. If you need more details PM me.
Best Josh

BMWTYE: 997.2 CUP and the GT3RS .2 center deck both have the same PN and have been on back order since June. Tried sourcing from salvage yards, Europe, and crappy aftermarket units. Got tiered of waiting and had this fabricated. The rubber air intake snorkels have been on back order as well.

But your piece you had made looks to solve the problem. You don't want the motorsport piece anyway as it's hit and miss on quality. First one I got was literally short 1/4 inch on each side and I was told motorsports part so no return regardless. Luckily I was able to sell it to a racer who didn't care.
Rather then risk another poor fitting piece, I also had one made out of carbon from someone who built parts for cup cars.

I guess my next question would be, how many of these nuances will come up when trying to do a conversion like adding the RS wing to a GT3? Starting to wonder if it's even worth the effort...

This is a very easy swap. If you want to assure you don't have any issue just buy the parts from sunset Porsche. I bought all oem parts and it was literally plug and play. I dont know too many who have taken the car apart and changed as much as I have and I have had minimal issues. The key is to not cut corners on oem stuff.

^ Thank you!
Any chance you have those part numbers? Rhonda told me 997-512-443-90 but that corresponds with this: https://store.paramountauto.com/oem-...rt-99751244390
