Newer is faster and does things better. Overall all better package.

Looks are subjective as are emotions.

I can only tell you my point of view that I really enjoy the simplicity of my 997 variant. No deviated sticking, crazy CCX options or electronics to distract me from what the vehicle was intended to do.

SC i drove 10 years ago when good friend had one very well sorted out - was extremely visceral experience. Modulating of brakes, (floor mounted) locking one of the four when going into a camber left hander and needed to carry enough speed to keep rpm's up as the car had little torque therefore you needed to stay high rpm's and flat out to keep the back in steady....wow. 997 variant is the only thing that comes in terms of LOOKS and experience. 996 gt3 gives you that experience and more but looks...well all is subjective.


It depends on what is it YOU want. I know the 991.2 will be killer fast and awesome in so many levels. Looking forward to driving one. but not selling 997

he has gf 991.1 gt3 / gt3rs .
girlfriends are wash rinse and repeat. Easy come, easy go.

but you have to have both...(wife and gf)
