Porsche Windshield Settlement
I just received a notice regarding a class action settlement for windshield glare for certain Porsche vehicles produced from 2007-2016. Apparently a previously 997 I had with a sand beige interior was affected. Looks like I am eligible to receive $50 as reimbursement for anything I used to reduce glare including sunglasses. Anyone else doing anything with this?

As a current owner I have a settlement amount of $75; 2011-2016 owners or lessees have access to $175.
The glare on my windshield is very annoying...though suing Porsche never entered my mind. I have been thinking about over time replacing dash bits with black but that certainly will cost more than $75. Not sure that I will do anything with this.

Note that the settlement is for "The dashboard colors encompassed by this Settlement are Luxor Beige, Sand Beige, Cognac, Platinum Grey, and Natural Brown. "

I don't know which is more crazy, that there could be a class action lawsuit for something this stupid or that an automobile manufacturer that has been in business for 70 years would have an issue with something this basic.

This nonsense should not pass. Everyone with minimal sense would know that a light dashboard color would reflect glare on the windshield. Of course the class action lawyers are the ones caching in.
This is like the fool who sued a toothbrush manufacturer "as he did not know that brushing his teeth too hard would hurt his gums"...

I am totally going to fill out the form and submit it. It's worth it just for bragging rights. I'll give the money to the local YMCA kids program.
its not April 1st is it?

I've owned Porsches with Sand Beige and Natural Brown interiors. I never noticed a glare....

I like my natural leather. It is the most complement Porsche color of many P cars Ive owned.
Maybe second to my white 930, sport seat Burgundy interior!
I also laughed at the 50.00 offer. I try really really hard never to need a lawyer. But when I do need an Attorney I hope he/she/notsure will be a ruthless SOB that will crush the other guy!
