I spent an hour polishing my tip
So since I am in the process of detailing an already clean car, I thought I would clean the exhaust tips while they were off. At autozone bought some snake oil called blue magic. I thought it would not work just like every other product that claims to work but does not work better than soap and water. But I stand corrected. Minimal effort with just a rag.
As an aside, the inside left had more soot than the inside right of the left tail pipe. I think that means every other odd cylinder and bank 1 is bad.

I got mine bead blasted then powered coated black. Much tougher than spray pain, not going to chip. Had a local coaster do it for $60. Now they always look good even when the car is dirty.

I plastidipped mine black to see how it would look (looks great!). It's held up now for over a month. Wipe down to clean, easy.
Eventually, I assume it will wear, then will get them painted black.
