Default So this just happened :(

So this just fell off while wiping down the car. WTF!? Is this something that happens? Never had this happen on any car before. 😩

Had the "a" in Carrera fall off a few months ago. Probably after waxing car. Luckily, I found the "a" at the edge of the garage door.
Carefully cleaned off the area and sparingly used a couple dots of superglue. Unless you are wishing a couple of feet, it is hard to tell where the break was.

I broke a letter on Boxster washing... Removed the rest with dental floss.... Went naked for the remainder... About 150k miles. Never cared.

Go with either 3M double-sided tape to put it back, or remove everything and just put "911". I vote for option 2.

+1 on the 3M tape ..... While I personally like the 4S badge on the butt of my .2 Cab, the sticky tape gives you options down the road if you want to either rebadge or debadge at a later point in time

DO NOT USE SUPERGLUE!!!! If you get it on the paint it'll ruin the finish. You can buy the number from Suncoast it's on their website.

Hahaha. Lol. I find myself worrying about that in general all the time. I have to fight the urge to keep this thing like a garage queen.

I am also a fan of the 996 Carreras 4s badge. I always liked how the 4 and s over-lapped

Ive broke badging a few times...

This works for me. Goto a hobby store that deals with RC equipment and buy something called 'Servo Tape'. It is super strong, thin double sided foam tape.
This will hold your badging on better than factory.

I thought this was going to be a horrible car crash thread. Thankfully it's just part of the badging! I second the 3M double sided tape idea. Another suggestion is some sort of mild silicone, the The Right Stuff.

Superglue will kill your paint, period. It will never come off without sanding. 3m double sided tape and an exacto after removing the old tape and cleaning the surface.

Ive used a dab of silicone calk in a pinch. Piece of tape to hold in place until dried.
