Default 09 997 for less than $30k - run?

http://www.hondaofspring.com/detail-...-16462158.html

29k, 97k miles, clean car fax, 09, PDK

Thinking this could be either a great deal or potential train wreck!

Looks like it was taken care of judging by pics, get a PPI and service history. If all good buy it and drive the wheels off it.

I agree with Feld. I just turned 97K on my 2010. Just continues to run better and better. Do a good PPI.

Wow, that is some serious lack of depreciation. Figure a car with 37k miles is selling for mid 40's, $2800 every 10,000 miles driven is very low! Completely unlike BMW: outside of an M-car, they basically go to zero in value. Like that guy that sold a one-owner E46 330 ZHP with 127,000 miles awhile back, immaculate, for $7,000. That seems like a lot of car for $7k.

I saw it on autotrader. The interior looked nice, which is a good indication of how the owners took care of it. Proly a decent deal.

Another dealer perhaps? Seems like a much tougher sell at $34k. D&C Motors had a 2006 Cobalt blue C2S cab with around 90k miles that sat forever at $34,000. It was nice too, super clean, 2 owners.

Went to dinner and stopped by on the way home to look at it. Dealer had already sold it. Evidently someone from Florida saw it last night, called, put a deposit on it, flew in this morning, and drove off with it for asking price of $29k. Dealership said they would have changed the price to higher based on all the inquires they received today on it but already had to "under contract".

Sounds like someone got a nice deal....dealer said it was really clean!

A non-P car dealer wouldn't necessarily know how hot these are right now. I saw a nice C4S manual listed for $55k 2 weeks back, it had around 25,000 miles, 997.2. I called about it; the dealer said it sold an hour after being listed, and that the phone had been ringing off the hook. He had no idea! Then again, they gave $47k on trade, so they made out well.

Why the owner would have taken $47k on trade is beyond me, however.
