Default Oil consumtion

Hi everyone
first time to post, so here it goes I have a 05 Carrera S and it is using way too much oil I think.
It has 115 klms on it which when I bout it didn't sound so bad. It came with a clean bill of health from a highly reputable service centre. But it is going through a liter of oil every fill? I see no oil leaks when it sits and no smoke when it is warmed up and running. I do see sometimes a puff of blue grey on start up but sometimes that puff is way too long and disconcerting. It does not seem to smoke once I have driven it for a few minutes and it does not always smoke at cold start either. There is no oil in the water and no water in the oil.
This is way more oil consumption than what I have read on line any ideas as too what is going on?

If by fill, you mean change. And if your changes are more than 1000 miles apart, you are fine.

yeah, what is your oil change interval. My 06 c2s goes through about a liter in 4000 miles and I have not seen any smoke on start or while driving and no leaks.

edit to add: my car has 138k miles on it

Your AOS could be bad causing some oil vapor to enter the intake and burn off.

How do you know if aos is bad? and does adding a quart every 2000 miles sound normal? Sorry to thread jack but figured we are discussing the same potential problem. 2009 c2. 997.2 with 46000 miles

A bad AOS will create a vacuum in the crankcase. With the engine running try to remove the oil cap. A vacuum present will make it difficult to remove.

1 qt every 2000 miles is normal. Some healthy cars burn more, others less. Porsche's spec is no more 1 liter per 1000 km, or 1 qt per 621 miles.

I'd say a qrt every 2000 miles is not bad. But, if it's a change from previous consumption than something may be going on.

Hi my problem is I'm going through a little per refill of fuel. So maybe every 4 to 500 klms. I haven't had the car long but I am doing a bores cope tomorrow

What did the bore scope show. Have you done a compression test. Could be valve guides.

Its actually 1.6 liters in 1000km, or about 360 miles to a quart. absolutely terrible standard if you ask me

What I'm really annoyed with here is that the dip stick is missing so how and when should I do the oil check through the on-board-computer? I tried the other day and it either shows half full/empty or full depending on how long I have driven.

When is the correct time to check?

You have to be on a level surface, front to back , left to right. Find a place and do it there all the time to get an accurate reading. It can fluctuate a great deal do to the sensitivity of the sensor.

OK so I did the bore scope and it was a pain the easiest place to see into the cylinders was actually by taking the header off (Pain as broken bolts but no biggy). I turned the engine until the exhaust valves were open and I could see into the cylinders. I noted right away that #6 cylinder (think) the one closest to the front of the car on the passenger side at any rate, was quite carboned up and the plug was oily. The valves were covered in carbon deposits. But the other two cylinders look real good and as they should. There is scoring in number six but it doesn't look super bad but it is hard to tell even with the bore scope.

Any thoughts
